Hormone-induced phlebopathy: focus on phleboprotective therapy in women who use combined oral contraceptives
In research the effectiveness of phleboprotective therapy with the drug Normoven (“Kyiv Vitamin Factory”) in patients with hormone-induced phlebopathy (HIP) during use of combined oral contraceptives (COC) was studied. In women using COCs, hormone-induced phlebopathy is formed and its symptoms are most pronounced when there is delivery in patient’s history. Pathogenetic mechanisms of HIP are lowering the tone of veins, lymphatic drainage and microcirculation disturbances, tissue hypoxia and chronic inflammation. Administration of Normoven during 1 month eliminates (in patients who did not have delivery) and reduces (in women who had delivery and take COC) the signs of HIP.
