Indications for use

Type 2 diabetes mellitus with ineffective dietary and physical activity regimens, especially in overweight patients:

as monotherapy or in combination with other oral hypoglycaemic agents or insulin for the treatment of adults;
as monotherapy or in combination with insulin for the treatment of children aged 10 years and over and adolescents.

To reduce the complications of diabetes mellitus in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus and overweight as a first-line treatment after ineffective dietary therapy.
